Marburg Virus Disease: Epidemiology, Screening, and Infection Prevention Strategies

This webinar will cover an overview of Marburg Virus Disease (MVD), including the current epidemiology involving two concurrent outbreaks occurring outside the United States and the risk of importation of disease into the U.S. The primary focus of the webinar will be how to prepare a healthcare facility to identify and respond to a potential or known case of MVD. The webinar will discuss how to screen patients for MVD, clinical signs/symptoms, diagnostic testing, isolation precautions, patient placement, occupational health risks for staff providing care to an MVD patient, and strategies for reducing disease spread of MVD across healthcare settings.
