Former Secretary of HHS Dr. Louis W. Sullivan will speak with APIC members about racial health disparities. Sullivan will talk about his experiences growing up in rural Georgia, entering Boston University School of Medicine in 1954 as the only Black American in his class, and how to increase the number of Black Americans serving in critical healthcare positions, like infection prevention and control.
