Infection Prevention opportunities and partnerships found in crisis

Speakers: Aayushi M. Chheda, CIC & Rebecca Hamel, RN, MHI, CIC

Provide recommendations and proven methods to efficiently maintain SPD practices in ambulatory/outpatient clinic.. Although difficult and requires focused oversight and follow up, it is possible. More and more I see the industry shying away from these practices due to cost and time restraints but for those that don't have an acute care facility to assist, this is not an option. As the IP in a military treatment facility (MTF), I am responsible for the oversight of 6 SPD spaces in 4 states and no options for acute care assistance so we needed to make it work. I want to share that experience and knowledge with others that may be in the same situation to empower them to successful in their own journey.
