A dedicated member from the Performance Improvement Team, Infection Control Team and Education Team created, managed, and sustained this project by collaborating to decrease CLABSI across VMC. It allowed us to view the CLABSI project through different lenses to develop innovative solutions. Collaborating across disciplines, involving every team member, and celebrating every win led to the project's phenomenal success. It also helped us sustain the project because everyone was responsible…not just one person.
Learning Objectives:
Describe ways to effectively collaborate across disciplines to reduce infections.
Critically reflect on how to overcome barriers and challenges in communication across displines.
Motivate team to take accountability in their role for project success.
