Infection Prevention opportunities and partnerships found in crisis
Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 1 pm ET
Speakers: Aayushi M. Chheda, CIC & Rebecca Hamel, RN, MHI, CIC
This session details the development of these relationships during disaster management post-earthquake and the ongoing partnership in a pandemic. The two departments participated in clear communication, idea sharing and information exchange to find workable solutions, sometimes with limited scientific evidence, to the challenges that surfaced. Projects and resources were prioritized using a multi-disciplinary team approach to perform real-time risk assessments.
The session also explores challenges, lessons learned, and tools used in developing partnerships between different disciplines essential to emergency response.
